MARION PERLET is a Canadian painter. Born in Munich, Germany and trained at Montreal's L'Ecole des Beaux Arts during the early 1960's. She currently lives in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Since her first exhibition at age 22 in Montreal in 1962, she has had over thirty solo shows.Most recently, Mexico City Canadian Embassy, Bellas Artes, El Instituto Allende and Museo Icongrafico del Quixote, Mexico.

Perlet's paintings range from naive representations of great charm and simplicity to visceral symbolist works that tap the deeper eastern religion and the mysterious nature of the creative process. According to the March issue of City and Country Home, a perceptive friend has written about her work: "Her symbolic representations of psychic states . . . " Whether her canvases are small and delicate or large and powerful, they are marked by a richness of colour and a subtlety of texture which vibrates.
