Galeria Izamal is an artists' cooperative gallery founded in San Miguel in 1992. Each member artist works at the gallery once a week. Sales are artist - direct, with no gallery commission, so prices are more than competitive. Clients are also invited to visit the artists' studios to see work and work in progress. Izamal artists are Maria Bracho, jeweler, Christian Calvillo, Steven Cary, Juan Ezcurdia, the late artist-matador John Fulton, Marion Perlet, Gerardo Ruiz, Henry Vermillion and Britt Zaist. The gallery is located at Mesones 80, next to the Angela Peralta Theater, a block from the Jardin, SMA's historic main square.
